Patios & hardscaping

Patios, paths, steps and walls laid on a properly prepared base, so they stay level and drain for years.

What we build

Most hard landscaping fails underneath. We dig deep enough, compact properly and design the drainage in from the start.

Patios

Natural stone, porcelain and brick, laid to falls so water runs away from the house.

Paths and steps

Safe, even routes through the garden with properly set risers and treads.

Walls

Retaining walls, raised beds and seat walls in stone, brick or block.

Edging and kerbs

Clean lines between lawn, border and paving that stop creep and keep their shape.

Decks and structures

Hardwood or composite decks, pergolas and screens built on proper footings.

Drainage

Channel drains and soakaways designed into the layout, not added afterwards.

Good to know

Porcelain or natural stone?

Porcelain is low-maintenance and consistent. Natural stone weathers in and suits older houses. We bring samples to the survey.

Will a patio need planning permission?

Usually not, but rules on drainage and raised areas apply. We check during the survey and help with any paperwork.

How soon can we use it?

Most patios can be walked on within two days of finishing and furnished within a week.
